Tree of Life was a welcome gift for another new grandchild, and represents the classical ash tree of Nordic mythology spreading out its branches and roots towards everything that makes life light and bright.
It’s an appliqued quilt and the figures are sewn onto a light yellow background fabric using freezer paper technique. It’s quilted with small flowers and butterflies scattered over the entire quilt.
Tree of Life is very large, 147 x171cm / 58in. x 67.in. so I had trouble getting it to look even in the photo, but of course it is.
