Nine-patch is also a classic pattern but in the NB Quilt design the dark purple diagonals in the small patches form a frame around the large nine-patch.
The quilt was made to order and the patches were chosen on the basis of the colours in the kitchen/dining area of the summer house where it will be hung.
The kitchen colours harmonize with those of the sea. The piece is quilted in the ditch of all the white squares and there are hearts quilted around the border, rendering it light and airy.

78in x 68in /140 cm X 160 cm.
