xxxAmbulance Quilt

After all the delicate work making Flora Danica I longed for coarser, heavier materials. The result was a quilt made of lovely, soft, large patterned flannel fabrics, appliquéd and quilted with coarse hemp yarn.
There’s no batting but the backing is made of wide rib corduroy which makes it incredibly comfy to cuddle up in.
The quilt measures 150 x 190 cm.
This quilt was a gift for my youngest son to celebrate the day he completed his training as an emergency health provider and paramedic. That’s why there’s an ambulance in appliqué on the back with his name and the date embroidered.
